Hop Into Spring with 5 Silly Easter Eggs!
Spring is in the air, and so is my excitement for my latest book - 5 Silly Easter Eggs, written by Ilanit Oliver and published by Scholastic! This playful, truck-shaped board book is packed with colorful egg-shaped tabs, a sparkly holographic cover, and a fun-filled countdown that makes it the perfect Easter treat for little readers.
Designing the Dielines
When the team at Scholastic approached me, they were developing a square format book with oversized, interactive tabs but they weren’t sure how to make it work. My background in product development made it easy for me to provide them with a few viable solutions. We ended up with a playful truck hauling eggs that double as countdown tabs. The eggs stack in the truck in a way that feels dynamic while still functioning as tabs throughout the story.
Creating a Playful Easter Adventure
Inside, each egg is designed with patterns that connect to the animal receiving it—like a swirly egg for a fluffy lamb and a striped egg for a buzzing bee. Since I love adding extra surprises, each egg delivery happens in a unique way—trampolines, slides, and ramps bring the eggs to their new homes in the silliest ways possible!
I also created a sleepy town called Spring Fields that readers travel through as they turn the pages. Each animal has a unique home designed to reflect their personality and needs—like Goat’s cozy A-frame cabin with a hay roof.

The best part? 5 Silly Easter Eggs is just the beginning! Another book in the series is already on its way, and the third is currently in development. I can’t wait to share more!
